P3005 and despite replacing the fuser twice and the formatter and updating the firmware (both on the old formatter and the new), the customer is still getting this error.
I have read the thread regarding the baking of the formatter and the chip is a Samsung chip. I have looked at the solder joints under a high power magnifying glass and see nothing unusual.
The printer may print a couple of pages and then errors out. Sometimes it will auto recover on pressing the GO button aka the check button.
Is it possible that the ECU could be responsible?

What driver are they using.
Remove and reload the driver.
Try not using a universal driver.
I use

PCL 6
in that order.
