Would appreciate help with following two problems with hp Deskjet 5150 printer:
1) After clearing paper jam, ink carriage stalled in middle of track and could not move to extreme right default or resting location.
After turning off power, was able to manually move carriage to extreme right location. Felt some resistance to movement.
When turned power on again, carriage moved to middle part of track but not able to move to extreme left segment of track. Carriage returned to default resting location.
2) Also, after clearing this same paper jam, the horizontal plastic paper lift plate at the rear of the paper supply, remains in the up position to continue to bring the top paper sheet to contact the rollers, to bring the paper around to the carriage ink jets. The lift plate appears to be remaining in a printing cycle of supplying more paper for a continuing print run, even though all print jobs have been canceled. When "print a test page is utilized", the paper is advanced to be under the carriage ink jets but no printing occurs and the carriage still can not move to the extreme left end of the track.
